Due to the end of fantastic music notation software Finale we as especially composers who write orchestral notations are unfortunately forced to switch to a different product with keeping all our hard work created over the years... Today I downloaded Sibelius and without reading any documentation (only one forum entry to reach VST configuration and Mixer (CTRL+M)) I was able to create staves, add my installed VST instruments (without problems) and add notes as I know from Overture or Finale. First experience is very positive - next week I try to load one of my symphonies into Sibelius and we'll see whether it is able to deal with a complex orchestral notation and reproduce it with what is possible at the machine - keep you up to date...
